Storytelling has been a huge part of Ally’s life since she was a child; often times this involved elaborating on vibrant dreams, and even creating a fantasy world that included multiple lands and searching for magical items. This passion eventually evolved into writing epic and sometimes dark poetry, which transferred once again when she dove deeply into the world of music. She didn’t realize at first that her storytelling skills could truly continue with music, until she discovered composition. Film is the perfect combination of Ally’s passion for stories and music, and she’s constantly intrigued by the next innovative storytelling collaboration.
Ally was a successful candidate for the 2018 Music Nova Scotia Mentorship Investment grant, and the 2019 Screen Composers Guild of Canada's Apprentice Mentorship Program which have both helped establish her within the film industry. She is currently working in London, United Kingdom, and studying to complete a Masters in Film Scoring.
